Merry Christmas!

from last year

Merry Christmas to one and all. I am sitting here thinking it sure is a strange Christmas for us. But, thank goodness for Zoom, phone calls and text messages for those both near and far. We did surprise my parents with a socially distanced visit yesterday and dropped off a few gifts I made. The mail didn’t fail me too badly, only one gift didn’t make it to it’s destination before Christmas. I feel pretty good considering the number of people who’s items seem forever lost.

I have a new quilt I am going to work on today and a lasagna to make. I have a tradition of watching the Christmas Story movie and watched a few minutes of it last night but hope to see it in its entirety today. I may start a new tradition of watching college basketball today.

I have been meditating on all of the good things in this world. The things that I have been blessed with and love is today’s thought. Love transcends to those we hold dear regardless of distance, pandemics or any other circumstance that we may not be able to see each other today. Love is what binds us together and gets us through.

Love is what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown.

“‘Maybe Christmas,’ he thought, ‘doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas…perhaps…means a little bit more!’” – the Grinch who Stole Christmas

Love, peace and joy to you this day
