I let this Scraps Ahoy Quiltathon  block, from Patchwork Times, languish in my UFO bin for 2 years. It didn’t have the contrast I was looking for when I saw the original pattern. I decided to use sashing.

No perfect fabric on hand. I looked and solid greys weren ‘t available three years ago …then I bought tons of it. After a few layout start and stops….

I decided to use hour glasses to continue with the dominate arrow theme.

I like where this is going. The fabrics is Kona greys. The layer cake was a Moda “hello Betty.” I think I salvaged it from the trash bin!
