Below is Monticello
I would like to share a few pictures of destinations on our vacation. We went to Monticello on the way to our daughter’s house. It was the home of Thomas Jefferson. It is on the top of a hill and has fantastic views. There is no photography in the home but the grounds are very lovely. I enjoyed learning about our nations roots and about the man himself. He didn’t like wasted space, he replicated inventions from Europe for himself and he placed a very high value on learning. Well worth the stop.
The next stop was the Yorktown Victory Center. It has a museum about the battle that took place during our nations revolution. I loved the artifacts. It has a replica farm and encampment. The drive along Colonial Parkway to Williamsburg is lovely.
Here are a few pictures of Virginia Beach.
Thanks for reading my pic heavy post. It was a great time. I spent much of the time caring for the babies and helping my daughter out. Now I am back to work and figuring out the new routine as the nest is empty.
