Today’s coffee is on the road. I am getting a to go coffee and heading to a Highland games with my husband. I looked at the calendar and I am not sure how many more I will go to this summer but I will see how I feel each game.
I am really looking forward to seeing our son in a stage review of the songs from Grease. That show is tomorrow and I know it’s going to be good. They have worked so hard on it!! I hope to get a few pictures.
I have become a student of air quality. When the air quality is in Moderate my lungs aren’t happy. So those days are not days I do loads of physical work. I usually do hand work and I am all caught up on my temperature cross stitch. Lots of warmer temps means more pinks and purples in the piece!
I am really looking for a show to watch this summer. I have exhausted all the series we were watching. I hope Jack Ryan is back on Amazon soon. Any suggestions?
I decided I need to get my granny square quilt top finished and then focus on longarming. I have a few tops for my friends to do and the stack that has been waiting for me to tackle for the past year. I look forward tonfinishing them and machine binding them.
The garden is really big in this heat and inhad a chance to weed it , set the solar lights and set my landscaping rocks. It was a good day and I worked hard! I even watered a little so it wasn’t such a dirt storm when the lawn was mowed. It didn’t really help. We need rain and it’s forecasted for tomorrow.
I am really enjoying the summer but it’s hot! I am thanking my lucky stars for the new air conditioning we have because it is making it easier to cope with these hot days.
Have a great weekend, stay cool !
Vicki
Your weekend sounds fun! The extra time seeing your son is a bonus! I’m happy to hear you are discovering how to manage the air quality issue too. I just hope it eventually goes away and you don’t have too many of those days. I’m at my Mom’s for 4 days enjoying her coastal weather and lots of time at the harbor. We went to our favorite thrift store and oh my, I scored about $100 worth of wonderful cross stitch patterns for about $5. I finished a quilt top using embroidered basket blocks my Grandmother had made quite some time ago and my Mom will do the hand quilting for her summer hand project. Then we will have to draw straws on who gets to keep it LOL or share custody!
