I had a lovely week away visiting the family in Virginia Beach. We went and saw art, made tie dye shirts , had a sewing lesson, went to the library, visited, played a game or two and helped my daughter’s discussion questions in her college class. The grand kids showed me all about Minecraft and Warrior Cats. It was a delightful visit.

Virginia Beach was 100 degree heat index most days and I had no intention of over doing anything in that type of weather. So it was a great to get out and do things in small doses of the blistering hot and humid weather. I will talk more about the art installations in my podcast this week but it was very inspiring.

I also watched videos from some free Fodder school classes and today I hope to do a lesson or two! The classes are going for another week and will be online for a while. You had to sign up before the classes started. I would highly recommend if you are interested in mixed media projects. I want to totally get into it and will post more on Our Creative Souls the sister blog.
I did take some online Cricut classes for paper flower making with Abbey Kristen. I love her free online classes, too. I saved the free patterns and may try making some paper flowers just for fun!
On Friday, we packed up the kids and Headed to Williamsburg where we participated in Angel’s Grand opening of her new Quilt shop Halo Inspirations! I purchased some Lori Holt fabrics and I plan to use it in a quilt from her book Scrappiness is Happiness! Her welcome speech was amazing!
All in all it was a most relaxing vacation and I need to plan the next time I am going to visit!
Back to my home routine, right after I finish my Sunday Morning Coffee!
