Saturday Morning Coffee

We have had a lot of rain this week and the garden looks great. I have not worked on it all week and I think it is well on its way for summer. I keep looking for signs of sunflower and wildflower seeds growing but so far none. The clover seeds are sprouting. We will see if the squirrels left any to grow.

I have been a bit restless and having trouble finding things to do that interested me. I have been knitting after work and I realized I was running out of yarn for my wrap. I went to the website for the yarn shop where I bought it. SOLD OUT! Oh no I started to look on Amazon and other yarn shops and I realized it wasn’t going to be easy to find. So, with a Google search, I found a yarn shop in MIchigan that had it and mailed it to me. I love this Plymouth Encore yarn so much. I hope to have more than enough now to finish it.

I did finish long arming my Petite Four quilt and it is off the frame. I love it so much. I want to get it bound and hang it up here at home.

I was really feeling the lack of inspiration to sew. I have needed something to help me feel inspired. I watch FQS Lives and their Flosstube on YouTube weekly for inspiration and to keep up with what’s happening in the quilting and cross stitch communities. They are doing a really cute Halloween QAL and SAL. Here is the info on their blog: https://blog.fatquartershop.com/spooky-sweet-mystery-quilt-and-stitch-along/

I printed off week one of the mystery quilt and cut block one out. Then I sewed the little witch hat for the ghost. Its so cute! You can sew along with Kimberly if you need some encouragement.

I am off to get my coffee and have a weekend of making things and looking for more inspiration. I may run to Hobby Lobby to look at yarn for a future project.

Have a great day!

Vicki
