It is a dark and broody sky this morning. We are going to get strong thunderstorms with strong winds this afternoon. It is a good day to just be home and sew. I haven’t done much sewing lately and plan to change all that starting this weekend!
I have been knitting after work.
That about the extent of it. I have to do one row on a quilt on the longarm to finish it. I have not sewed anything since I finished the last block of the spooky and sweet quilt. I need to assemble it and call it done. I need to finish adding frames to my low volume 9 patches and get them done.
Because I want to do a stay at home retreat of sorts next weekend. I have a 4 day weekend and we aren’t going anywhere Thursday or Friday. The region is over run with tourists and you can’t even get to the store right now. We may go to the car races for fireworks Saturday weather dependent. I want to sew the family size potato chip quilt Thursday.
I am doing FQS Star of Wonder Mystery quilt that starts next week! and I am getting out some cross stitch wips. I have a lot of inspiration from watching some YouTube Live videos and I feel ready to make things!
I am also sorting through my stash to exchange 8 fat quarters for the Quilt Guild meeting on Tuesday. I have not been to the guild meetings in over a decade, and I need to find my local people who quilt. I am very excited to go, and I am keeping an open mind that this is not the guild of the past that was full of the quilt police. They start open sew at 3pm (I work but maybe I can sneak out early), eat a brown bag or take out dinner and sew, biz meeting at 6. There seems to be more challenges, mysteries and gatherings these days. I hope to find some fun there!
I think my coffee is ready and I want to get this day started! It has been a long work week for some reason and I am ready for the weekend.
