Saturday Morning Coffee

I have been loving my hot coffee on these dark, chilly days. I don’t have a pumpkin mug but I do have a Frankenstein inspired one!

This week has been frosty at night and warmer during the day for the most part but the last 2 days have been gray, raining and damp. The leaves are falling off the trees like rain and we are in what I call the brown season.

I have been sick this week and wound up staying home from work yesterday. I have not really determined if it is a cold or a long covid flare up but I just so happen to see 2 of my doctors next week and hopefully will be feeling better. I have spent yesterday watching artists make mixed media and collages on YouTube while I cross stitch or crochet. I dream of one day being able to make something like this by Alisa Burke:

And outside of working that has been about it. I tried to long arm a little because my husband fixed the frame and I couldn’t last more than 10 min. I didn’t feel well enough to sew or use a rotary cutter. I didn’t do much on my decluttering or packing away the items I am tired of being out on display.

But that’s ok. I was able to sleep a little longer a few days. Sip tea in the afternoon and promote the Family favorites quilt along. I was ahead of schedule on the sewing so no stress there! I am going to get next month’s blocks sewed when I am better and try to get a month ahead so I can get some really nice pics and social posts ready. I am loving this quilt, the new book and that it is only a couple of blocks a month!

All the details and links are in yesterday’s blog post here: https://mycreativecorner3.com/2024/10/24/family-favorites-quilt-along-kick-off/

I was thrilled to be named a Silk and Sonder affiliate, so I have a link for them now! November’s journal is here, and the theme is Joy! I am very excited to dive deep into that next month!

I am excited to share all that I love about the journals watch for post on Social like flip throughs and what they offer. Here is the affiliate link: https://shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=1461423&u=2039265&m=93424&urllink=&afftrack=

My podcast didn’t post to YouTube for some reason, so I manually posted it yesterday. If you haven’t listened check it out!

I am hoping to keep getting better, resting up, watching football and maybe a little quilting. I still want to make Fat quarter shops tutorial of a quilted witches hat!

Have a great weekend !
