Wednesday night after work, it started snowing. It hasn’t stopped since that time and we have at least 18 inches of new snow. There were terrible winds with it at first. They say a second storm system is moving in today and we will have snow for the rest of the weekend. Needless to say, I have been home watching football, making my crafts and staying all cozy and warm.

Quiet Thanksgiving day. We cooked a roast and it as really good. I had the traditional thanksgiving dinner with my family last weekend. The weather was great that day!
I made only one black Friday purchase and that was a Laser cutting machine for my husband. He has wanted one for his retirement for quite some time. It will be here next week. I am thinking we may open up a online store with items for sale.
I am excited with the progress of the Sew Happy quilt pattern by Lori Holt. The cutting directions are a slog but I am down to one star, a big sewing machine and an iron element. I am starting to see the finish line and getting excited to make the focal pieces that I have saved for last. Here it is on the design wall!

I have enough things to do to keep me busy for the winter let alone the weekend, lol! I did load a quilt on the frame yesterday and will start long arming it today.
I have a new sofa coming and we need to clean out the space to put the overflow furniture. I am dreading that honestly because it will be a pain to do. Shifting and decluttering things from one room to another is never fun. The new furniture will be worth it in the end but we have been procrastinating on this since we bought the couch a couple of weeks ago. I keep thinking that the decluttering project is nearly done and then we have more to do. This purchase will lead to a day of decluttering and organizing as we will have the old sofa and a chair to store until spring. I realize that I have a lot to do and we aren’t near the decluttering finish line at all. Glad my husband is able to help and do all the heavy lifting!
I am going to put the coffee on and have some yummy cinnamon bread for breakfast. I am going to light some candles to give the house a warm glow to the darkness as I am listening to snow removal happening all over my neighborhood. Those folks are up early and that means I am, too. I will get used to their sounds and be able to sleep through it before you know it, lol!

Have a cozy day with lots of breaks in between the reorganization. Remember it always gets worse before it gets better!😉
