A week of rain has melted much of the snow but not to worry more snow is coming today. I am not sad about the melting. I need the break in the snow but a sunny day again would be lovely, we had one afternoon where we saw the sun this week and it was divine.

I have been really working on being more intentional about my phone use. I want to use it for things that are positive and good for my brain. I am swapping out mindless scrolling on social media for puzzle games on the phone. As I get deeper into my analog life, maybe I could find a puzzle book or magazine. I am taking baby steps. I want to be more intentional with my electronic use. I am not going off line I just want to use my phone as a tool and live my life next to my phone/camera versus through it.
The Analog life project is very helpful. I am doing this project with like minded people all over the internet because I think we are sick of what using our phones so much has become. Instead of being on the phone were making things, journaling, exercising, going outside and reading. Long form blogs, books, and watching slower paced shows or documentaries.
Its all about slow living. Meditative living and not virtual living. I cast on a new project on my knitting needles and I am going to cast on another. I am crocheting. I have sewn some seams on my quilt projects and I long armed another. I watercolor painted and I decluttered my fabric all to get my creative space organized and functional.
I would recommend joining for the free printables or just read the blog/substack: https://littletruthsstudio.com/pages/the-analog-life-project

Peace by piece blanket pattern, it is a block by block knit
I have to say that in a January full of overwhelming news and events I have been obsessed with the Walk for Peace. I get emotional watching the monks videos of their meditative walking showing compassion and peace. They are in South Carolina and posting daily about their journey and doing Facebook lives of their teachings when they stop. They started in Texas, I cannot imagine the discipline and determination to walk 2300 to Washington DC and there was an accident near the beginning of the walk where a truck ran into the escort vehicle injuring two monks. One had to have his leg amputated. Still they walk in peace
I am going to spend the weekend thinking about them and for peace.
