Fantabulous Scrappy Stars

This week is the lovely square in a square center of the star block.

I picked a random selection of scraps from my fabrics pulled for this quilt and here are the results! This week was straight forward on using the paper piecing. I need to be more careful in trimming and making sure my fabric is larger than the paper because I have a couple of points that will get lost when I sew this into the quilt. One terrible point I must confess is covered by the butterfly for a reason. I decided that perfection will not get in the way of progress!

Must confess the Dresden plate that was on the quilt plan for this week was a quilt block that I was not looking forward to making. We are postponing that until next month. I am not very good at applique so we will see what Angel comes up with!
