I am so glad it’s Friday. Work week gets long sometimes. The time off way too short. I am preparing myself for a fantastic weekend. We are going to a Highland Games on Sat. I will get new customer quilts on Sunday.
I am working on a new routine. In the first time in 25 years, I have no kids to get ready for school this fall. We will be empty nesters and grand parents for the first time. I will have time to work on my home based business in the mornings before I go to my day job. I am expecting to get tons done. I hope to get the etsy shop opened in Sept. I have sample quilts to make and then to get my book proposal done. Lots to do.
I am also making one customer t shirt quilt. I have a few long arm customers quilts to do and more coming. I am so excited. I want this little business to take off!!
I am hoping this new routine will help my evenings be more flexible. I have gym workouts 3-4 nights a week. I give a violin lesson another night of the week. So I think that means I need a bit of time to relax and draw. Or watch TV or crochet. Or all of the above.
Pics of last nights quilting while everyone was out are above! The background in the long shot cracks me up… our corded wall phone is visible and a fan in the window. Yep old houses have their quirks and so do the people living in them. LOL!

How do you like your “Jewel”? I am thinking about getting a bigger longarm! I currently have a 13″ Bailey, but the fine movements escape me–all i can do is meander!

Lots of fun things in your future. You will find that the new free time will be filled even fuller than before with kids, once others discover you have it. Keep it a secret for as long as you can.

How nice to have a new routine to look forward to. Have fun but don’t let yourself get too busy; enjoy the peace and quiet, too.
