Today’s Labor Day update. I stayed home the past 2 days. The previous 2 days were travel and visiting with my family. I loved the visits very much. So today was a day to finish cleaning up and prepping for the work week… then lots of play. I did the very middle block in the collection on the design wall today. One more block in the Pat Sloan’s Children’s Library Monthly Quilt along. I have some other blocks in her solstice challenge that are smaller surrounding the larger blocks. I have not made any decisions about layout. There is one more month in the QAL and then I will see what I have left in fabrics etc. At that time, I will make a layout decision.
The thunderstorms of the day gave way to partly cloudy and I went for a walk. It was 62 degrees. The geese and gulls were flying over. The interstate was roaring from all the tourists heading home. I was in a very quiet neighborhood preparing for the school year to start and me having to face the reality that tomorrow is back to work. I enjoyed football and then the best news was our Fantasy Football League is up and running. And the fresh air to clean out the bleach fumes from my lungs after the deep cleaning was welcome! New cleaning supplies next time, that was too harsh for me!
Making progress in Quilt For Cure’s More than 4 quilt along I am on target for a baby quilt to be finished by the end of the month. I made the green blocks today. I also have been hand binding a queen sized quilt in the evenings. See http://www.quiltforcure.org for more information on the quilt along and how you can make a quilt.

I found a pumpkin I bought last year on clearance and remembered a Zentangle Class I took last year. I had the Identipen from the class and it still worked! I have worked on this over the past couple of days. I hope to have it finished by Halloween, lols.
Here is the vlog I posted yesterday. I am really getting in to a rhythm of my posts and media. Now, to decide what to do for my next podcast/vlog because it will be my one year Podcast Anniversary. I am not sure what I want to do for it yet. Maybe a tutorial. Who knows I think I will get some inspiration soon!
Quilt on !
