Here is a quilt I made to give as a wedding gift. I used to test patterns for Quiltmaker’s 100 block magazine and I made the blocks with fabrics in mind, as I completed each block, for the collection to play well together in a quilt someday. There orphaned blocks have found a home and they played well together in the final layout. You can see the stitches are all curls. The sashings have a tighter swirl and the blocks are looser curls. I wanted the blocks to be the main focus and over complicate the quilting. Also I wanted to not have this quilt weigh too much and be soft. I have to say that the quilt came together very well and I love the surprise in the green backing. Hobbs 80/20 batting was used and Superior SewFine thread was used for the quilting.
Here is my video talking about it!
What an awesome gift and so beautiful.
