My Dad’s photo of the depot
After spending Thanksgiving with family and giving much thanks we went to the Depot in Durand, Michigan to see the Christmas décor. It is a lovely Victorian train Depot that is restored. It is a museum, an Amtrack station and has a model railroad to view. My grandparents and great grandparents worked here. Now my parents work in the gift shop as well as sharing history to people who come. My son is playing the piano in an improvisational session as I am touring the depot.
A great Thanksgiving holiday. I am going to meditate on what I am so thankful for… everything actually … my family, friends, work, home, health, quilting…. and I plan enter into the Christmas season with these things in thanks to God.
If you go to Durand Union Station tell them I sent you.
Quilt on my friends,
Vicki
