I had the honor of  assembling and quilting 2 quilts that were made by many quilters. Michael Miller Fabric company had fabrics available to quilters last year at QuiltCon. Quilters took the fabrics home and made blocks. Then they mailed them back.

Michael Miller Fabrics then chose who was going to get these quilts. We were so proud when Quilts for Cure was chosen to receive them. There was enough blocks made for several quilts, I believe 6! Aurifil donated thread and Hobbs donated batting and Michael Miller donated even more fabrics and asked friends of Quilts for Cure to assemble and quilt these little gems.

As I put the quilts together, block by block, one thing was clear. These are very special quilts. Each block is a gem, a tiny work of art. Sewn to perfection the blocks came together to show the love sewn in each stitch by the quilters.

I did an overall swirl pattern to quilt them. I wanted these tiny blocks to stand out and tell the story of love in each stitch. Quilts for Cure gives children fighting cancer a quilt. Each quilt given is always a treasured gift, a quilty hug and a physical representation of the love and support for each child.
