After months of feeling as if the Universe was against me attending, I went to QuiltCon in Nashville! It was a super fun time to meet so many of my BQF’s and meet some of the people I worked with on a committee for the Modern Quilt Guild last year. I had an amazing time. I don’t think amazing begins to describe it really
My huband and I did sight seeing in Nashville on Wed afternoon. So glad we did because we left yesterday because a very rare Blizzard warning was posted for our home town! That means today we are sitting home as the blizzard rolls in and not traveling in this mess or riding it out somewhere.
Two things I wanted to see in Nashville were free or very low cost! One was the Parthenon. It is an exact replica of the Parthenon in Greece. The second was the tropical gardens in the Opryland resort. It was lovely and a very beautiful place to take a leisurely stroll through.
I am going to do a full recap on my first QuiltCon on the podcast.I need time to think about it before recording. I want to share the little videos that I made so you can see what lovely quilts were at the show!
The last day I had an incredible time meeting people and sharing stories. It is really quite amazing to have Best Quilty Friends!!
Quilt on!

I’ve enjoyed seeing the videos of the quilts, people (I recognised a few people) and your sightseeing trips, it looks as if you were both having a great time. I’m planning on going to Quiltcon 2020, it will be a big trip for me (travelling from Australia), I’m thinking it will be the trip of a lifetime actually.

It would be a fantastic trip! I have not been to Austin but the following year is Atlanta and I wanna go there because I think all my friends will go and it will give me enough time to save $$$$. Quiltcon is a great modern show!

Was great to see your pics. We were down in the area years and years ago (no quilt show) and went thru the Opryland gardens. It was near Christmas time and Pam Tillis (? – daughter of Mel) was singing and playing the guitar and being filmed. It was very beautiful. Liked seeing the quilts you captured Sometimes you can get inspiration. I’m down in southeast Mi.
