I so enjoy your podcast because you say exactly what I do when a project doesn’t turn out like I expected. “Looks like crap.” You are deliciously human. I too was below average in art and music especially when teachers compared me to my older sister. I can now completely enjoy doing/making things without judging myself. I don’t have to be “good” at something to enjoy doing it. My piano playing makes cats yeowl but I keep playing.
