Quilt show update

I am taking the week off from the podcast and I will return with Podcastiversary and a recap about the AQS quilt show. I had the best time!

I noticed several curated things in the show and I would call them trends. I want to explain more in the podcast. I only bought a Cherry Wood grab bag with their signature hand dyed fabrics. I also bought a swing cardigan.

I was able to meet my son and daughter in law for dinner. I drove out of the city the right way this time and didn’t make a wrong turn! Overall, I think that AQS is an amazing show. One day I want to go earlier in the week to see the crowds and see if there is any who’s who in the industry there. I hear that isn’t the case.

Overall, I would not miss AQS Quilt Week show in Grand Rapids. It is a great town. It is not hard to drive to. The show has never disappointed me. I really enjoy seeing the quilts, the special displays and checking out the vendors. And, trust me, there are many. If you want to slowly view the quilts, you may want to take more than one day to do the show and all the vendors.

Me and the vintage quilt Eclipse
My quilt the 5th Element hanging at the show.

All in all, one of the best times ever!

I walked away incredibly inspired,

Vicki
