Saturday Morning Coffee

I can tell you today I don’t feel gorgeous as the coffee cup says in the pic but I am feeling a little better since coming down with Covid on Tues this past week. I was hoping to never have it again but that was an unrealistic thought. It’s not been fun. However, I have medicine at home to help me like inhalers, cough med, steroids that helped me right away and I started the routine to treat the symptoms as they cropped up. Today, I am feeling more human.

I have spent much of the week taking care of myself, drinking water, making sure I was eating food, sleeping if I could and trying to do one thing around the house just to move a little. So thankful we loaded up on groceries at Costco last weekend and the previous 2 weekends I did deep house cleaning. Felt good to be in a clean house vs a disastrous one while home sick.

What I did do is watch all my favorite YouTubers-Fat Quarter Shop lives, Fat Quarter shop flosstube live, Pat Sloan and I found Erica Arndt has a lovely channel. I stitched the bat on the Haunted Halloween cross stitch that I started a week ago. Yesterday I sewed one block for the Lori Holt’s Pattern Seasonal Stitchy Stars table runner, and I am doing a QAL with FQS for that. I felt very accomplished that I could do both!

Everything takes me longer because I am very tired and get winded. I am happy that I haven’t had the symptoms of having my brain/mind terribly impacted like the last infection. I walked to the end of the driveway to see the full Moon and yesterday I walked to the garden to see what it looked like. Both were taxing on my body for such short distances.

I have lots of paid time off hours in my bank for work, so I am not rushing back until I am ready. I am so happy college football kicked off this week, but I am not happy several games are behind paid streaming services that I don’t have of the 50 streaming services I do have. I may look for a bootleg stream on YouTube. So irritating and a topic that I could go on a rant about but I will spare you that today. I will have some fun things to watch while I stitch.

To celebrate Labor Day and the wrap up of summer, we have ice cream, chips and burgers. I look back over the summer and I sure did all the things I wanted to do in my Summer project of Meditation, Music and Making.

One free class I didn’t mention is a watercolor and gel pen class I watched via Zoom through Micheal’s. It was great and I may try doing that as an art journal page this weekend. It should be on their YouTube channel next week.

I am going to get my coffee and hope I can taste it more today,

Vicki
