Saturday Morning Coffee

The work week was jammed into 4 days because I had Veteran’s day off on Friday. The work week was exhausting but I had a great day off because I was able to go to the sew day with my quilt group yesterday afternoon. I took a bit of hand sewing because I didn’t want to lug my sewing machine there. I sewed a hexagon flower. It was great to see everyone. Their monthly meeting is 9-6pm. Everyone was tired and ready to leave by 4. Maybe in the future I can leave work a little early to say HI to everyone and be inspired by what they are working on! The older I get the more I need to find a ‘community’ to be a part of because it is amazing how much time I really am by myself even at the office!

I also recorded a podcast yesterday and I hope you have a chance to listen to it wherever you listen to podcasts or you can click on the link in the post to hear it:

We had the time change last weekend and I must say it has messed me up all week. I keep waking up early, wanting to go to bed at 8 o clock and feeling sluggish all day. I usually get kicked in the butt for the springtime change but this one was just as bad. Everyone I came in contact with said the same thing. I think it is because we have had so many days of rain and gloomy grey days for the past month. Thursday was one day of sunshine, and I think it helped reset my internal clock. I really hope they do away with Daylight savings time, and we can just settle into a routine!

Since I finished all 6 of the tart tins, I have picked back up the temperature cross stitch. I am quickly catching up on it. I like stitching on Aida much better! I think that Lugana or even weave cloth is only to be stitched on in the spring and summer even with a task light. Interesting article I read this week said that the past 12 months were the hottest on record for the earth. I stitched a historic record year. I should stitch that somewhere on the piece!

I am really feeling a little stronger after this week Physical therapy. I have been a little sore but it was manageable. I do enjoy the pool sessions more than the gym sessions and wish I could have them all in the pool! It doesn’t feel like you are working out until later when your muscles are sore! I am glad I have the option to use a pool with a treadmill in the bottom in my little town!

Off to get some coffee!

  1. Glad your pool sessions are working for you. I have thought about signing up for aquacize in my town but I keep thinking I will be cold doing it. (I haven’t been in a pool for years)
