Saturday Morning Coffee

It’s lightly raining this morning and that has cooled off the temps. I have enjoyed a nice steady work week with the satisfaction of getting everything done by Friday afternoon. I chose to not attend a Highland game today because it was going to be a very long day of driving to it and back. I honestly don’t have the energy for that today. Plus, we are preparing for our vacation in a few weeks. Trying to save a little money and energy for that. I cannot wait for our two-week vacation road trip. More to come on that.

I am in a spot where I am a couple of weeks before vacation and I don’t want to start a big project then lose momentum on it because we’re not going to be home. I also have just wrapped up a couple of projects and don’t really feel inspired to start something new. I typically need a couple of weeks off in between quilting projects. I need time to be inspired before starting a new quilt.

I have been crocheting granny circles. I may take today and work on some mixed media things, needle felting and podcasting.

I do know that I am going to have a cuppa coffee and may a few teas today. I am going to do some easy yoga to try to get my body moving a bit and enjoy the quiet of the morning. I don’t hear much traffic, and the birds are singing as well as making noises. I may take a gentle adventure like frog does in this short. PS if you don’t follow this account on ig or TT you absolutely should!

I have spent time journaling and the theme this month is freedom. I am embracing the theme and putting into practice that I have the freedom to do what I want today. I have no schedule really, and can choose to relax, try new things or just rest my body and mind. I have the freedom to this and not have to be doing things I feel I should do to be a responsible adult. I have the freedom of a gentle adventure.
