After much agonizing, I found a fabric that was in the stash that will work for the twins quilts. One is loaded on the frame and ready to start today! My daughters twins are due in the fall. My mom made one quilt top and I made another. We used Atkinsons “All about me ” pattern with Riley Blake’s Hooty Hoot returns fabric line. I love owls and its a trend that I will keep perpetuating!! Stop on over at www.patchworktimes.com to see what everyone else is up to on this fine Monday.
It was a homebody weekend for much of it. I have been working on an art quilt with a new product called WireKnitz and the vender will be at the AQS show. I thought I wanted a bit of tatting on it. I got my shuttle out and practiced a few rings. I can’t remember the pattern I want but it seems to be coming back to me slowly. I did so much this weekend creating/crafting!
I also took a second Zentangle class on Saturday. I love the whole process. It is stress management for me. It focuses my mind and gives me a jump start on creativity. I am not an artist but after the class I am feeling like my little doodles are pretty cool. It helps me with my free motion quilting.
Happy Monday all!
Vicki
