Ok, this is really a cute block. I didn’t embroider the cherry stems on because I don’t like to long arm over embellishments. I also would probably add the stems with the long arm. My poor fingers just cant make pretty stitches anymore. It is by A. Holmes on page 20.  I couldn’t leave the crow all black so I gave mine grey wings, lol.

This next block is really a fun one to do. I love the white star and the pow factor is in the corner of the star. It is a pieced block. It is by K. Jolly on page 57 of the magazine. I think that it would make a wonderful quilt and some fun secondary designs.

It is so much fun to test the blocks. I have a stack of blocks now and I am deciding how I want to  put together some of the test blocks into a quilt top. I think that will be a project for this long winter. See my instagram account for more on that!!!
