I am participating with the Classic and Vintage series with Fat Quarter shop! This week we worked on the Broken Dishes block. It is a free pattern, click the link for Fat Quarter shop!

This pattern uses a fantastic ruler by Creative Grids. I had no idea it existed, it sure would have been a great thing to have last year when I made all the 10,000 Economy Blocks! Remember the Peter Pan quilt and the Make Modern quilt? For the next 10,000 Economy blocks or Square on Sqaure’s I am using this lovely ruler!

I love this block so much. It is lovely as a two color block. It is vintage yet with the right fabric choice you can make it modern and chic! I wish I had 10 yards of that blue fabric!! I used scraps in my stash and I was thinking this would be a lovely scrap quilt, too.
