This week has brought a little chill in the mornings. Rain today and the cooler temps feel so good! It feels like fall. I decided that I needed to get my fall decor out this weekend. I rummaged a bit this week and found my pumpkins. Now to find the fall quilts! It will all go nicely with the wreaths I made last weekend!
I have really been working on my UFO challenge. I have nearly all the tops pieced then I can quilt them and I will have completed my challenge. I had three things on the list : Kinship pieced and 2 tops put together from the 100 blocks. Pieced the irish chain quilt and quilt an oldie. I have the Kinship blocks pieced and here is the first quilt from 50 of those blocks:
I am also knitting my Elementary wrap in the evenings. I have had a really good week. I realized that I have 3 long weekends in a row. I could get used to that!! I took next Friday off in case I feel up to traveling to one of the last highland games of the season. We will see how I feel about it next weekend, but I believe I will go.
As you can see, I am loving making videos. I have made several TikToks and Instagram reels. I am continuing to make You Tube videos. I made a video for a new series I want to do called Self Care Sunday’s and here is the kick off video. We will see what I can put together for tomorrow.
I feel like September and Labor Day weekend is the New Year. Schools are starting up. I have ended one year in my mind and the new one is beginning. The garden is wrapping up its growing season, getting the house ready for winter is on the agenda and I am getting ready to hand stitch warm items like my shawl and bindings on quilts. I do love the cozy season! I am all in on the changing of the seasons and setting my sights on all of the New things that the fall brings. Including starting a Halloween quilt!
