Woke up to the sound of a gentle spring rain. We are slowly supposed to start warming up and I keep hoping the trees will fully leaf out and I can start to be in the garden. I want to just lift few lilies and iris to make the space less crowded. And get my decorations out including my solar glass light up mushrooms!
I also need to move a couple of plants and I would like to buy a few plants. I succumbed to downloading ai and it generated some good ideas for my garden space with a rendering. It’s suggested I get more phlox , rubeckia and coneflower. I love the idea of a little arbor but I would put it on the far right where the rambling roses are. We have a lot to do once we can rake it with the tractor. My husband will need to do it because I can’t rake this year. I may try. I will also engage his help with lifting. And I will start weeding.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ai. I enjoy using it for research and questions about my garden. I am not wanting it to take over jobs and humanity. I don’t know what the solution is but I see how it can be very helpful. And data centers are a whole different topic I don’t want to get into here but I am not seeing the benefits overall.
Today is a virtual mystery quilt retreat sponsored by my local quilt shop. Clues will be revealed all day on the special Facebook group. The project is small 22×22. I wonder if I have enough fabric to make a couple of these mini quilts 🤔. I purchased a fat quarter bundle curated by my local shop hoping I have great success. Mysteries and I don’t always achieve great success.

Thirsday was a day off to see my son in the Gilbert and Sullivan play Princess Ida. It was so good. He had the Price Hilarion role and sang in many scenes of the play. He was getting over being sick but the cold healed in time for the show. The entire cast worked so hard. It was amazing and I love that he found something he loves to do…. Sing, act and be part of local theater. Looking forward to a new adventure this summer, he is in a Shakesperian play!

I have made 60 of the 110 of the Teri colorwash blocks done for the block exchange! I am really looking forward to the layout and then making more for a wall hanging or table topper size quilt.

Then I have to decide what to do for the guilds fabric challenge. I have the fabrics pulled and then to finalize my decision about the pattern. The center floral is the fabric that must be used in the quilt.
I am off to get my coffee and prepare for the retreat! I am planning on prepping the sourdough today then bake tomorrow. Since I ruined the muffins I made last weekend by incorrectly measuring the baking soda,I am going to try again today. It’s a sourdough discard recipe.
Have a lovely creative weekend!!
