Saturday Morning Coffee

I am really happy that I have been living my slow intentional life. Yesterday on my day off I did most of the things I set out to do. Today I want to work in the garden a little setting up my fairy lights and decorations. Adding whimsy to my life makes my inner child clap with glee. I have lot of new decorations this year and I can’t wait to see the garden sparkle and shine.

I am feeling rather ambivalent about the Fourth today. I have no desire to want to go to celebrations. I don’t see any protests to attend today in my town. I am really embarrassed at the spectacle the news is every day and I have a lot of concerns about abuse of power and corruption. I hope we can still be friends if you read this and are upset. I decided that I will not let the current regime ruin my weekend. I have no control over them and I will find a way to enjoy the days.

Yesterday my husband grilled ham burgers out. Today may be brats. I am playing outside in the garden and we need to go to the store for last minute supplies and scripts. I am meditating by crocheting my granny squares together in rows. I am going to watch online fireworks.

Who knows what else the day may bring. I choose to celebrate the wonderful life I can live. I am grateful for the freedoms I have and the career I have been blessed to have. I am grateful for all those who have made this possible. I am proud of all my friends and neighbors who want to see this country continue with an intact constitution.

Resistance to wrong has always been creative arts. I am making beautiful things today. I am writing my blog freely and I am grateful I can do so still.

I am living my life in pursuit of happiness. If you can read the quotes in the journal picture at the top.

Today I see a lot of light…Blue is the color closest to light. I love that and it make me smile.

I finished quilting my Barn star yay! And I love the quote above that red is the ultimate cure for sadness. This is a happy happy quilt!

Feeling very creative so I am going to get my coffee and start my day of gratitude and making!
