This week we had days of smoke filling the sky blotting out the sun. It was rolling on the ground and kept us inside for days. The air quality was the worst we have ever had. It was as if we had a total eclipse of the sun for three days. Eerie and a little anxiety provoking because there is no where to go to avoid it all.

We have filtered central air and air purifiers at home that kept it comfortable. Not so much at work with window air. I stayed at home and worked , did so too much because my asthma was flaring up. I didn’t attend our local Alpenfest because the smoke was thick enough that it hindered my ability to walk. The festival even cancelled one day of activity.

Today we woke with rain and it has cleared the air for a little bit. They say the smoke will come back. But we have non refundable tickets to a big air show near Ann arbor . We’re going and I expect it will be ok . We have VIP tent seats and will make the best of it !

I saw online Walmart released a few back to school items that were quilt themed. I hope to find a few more items in my travels. I am looking for the clip board and pencil case. I think quilters are going mad for them and the clipboard is hard to find. I love collecting hard to find items so much!
