I have had an entire week of hygge. Comfy cozy with a little fall on the side. I enjoyed moving at a slower pace at work and loving the warm fall weather.

I found some garlands on sale at Menards this week and I put them on the porch railings since the flower bundles didn’t go very far up the railing. We will see what I can add to the display for next year. I think this makes the house look more cared for and cute!

We ended the week going to the shadow cast presentation of Rocky Horror picture show. Always fun and a good time. We spent time planning our outfits which was almost as fun as wearing them.

I got my Halloween quilt out for display! I feel the full countdown has begun!
I was inspired by this video to try my hand at making more slow stitched fabric squares. From ground zero not a kit. Using what I have on hand.
If I have enough I will make a scarf but the construction of the squares is fascinating to watch. I love this channel using upcycled materials!
I have been working really hard at being healthy this week. It’s so much work and I know that I would rather sit and stitch than ride my exercise bike or other movements. I would rather eat a quick meal than planning and cooking a healthy one. I need to work at it harder because the things I use to measure it aren’t improving. My Achilles is healing and I am able to walk more and tolerate more movement. It’s been such a slow healing that it becomes a grind in itself to keep rehabbing it. But I am seeing improvement and more mobility.
I am taking a class this afternoon at a lavendar farm. We’re making fall decorations and I want to make a broom. I hope the venue is good and the teacher nice because they offer more classes I would like to take!
I am ready for some football and cozy vibes. Have a great day!
Vicki
