This is the latest customer quit I am working. I decided that feathers felt right for this project. And I had a copper colored thread on hand that was perfect color , I think that it will look great.

I am making a mini chevron block. I had 13 of these purple and green fat quarters. I also have 2 1/2 inch hst paper piecing papers. I like how the two blocks look next to each other. I am not sure how many I can get out of these fat quarters but there will be a pretty cool design I think.

I have been working full time at my day job so I have survived the first round of downsizing. I have been commuting half of  my time to the office 40 miles away. I have found it bites into my quilting and cleaning time. So things are a little more chaotic around here but I am getting a routine going with the commute.

yes, the trees are showing the beginning of fall colors. My son returns to college in two weeks.  It is a start reminder that I need to savor each ray of sun and get out and enjoy all of memories to be made this summer!!!!
