Best Friends Quilt Along Reveal!

Angel of Halo Inspirations and I have been sewing our quilt in a quilting bee fashion over the miles. I am in Northern Michigan and she is in the sunny south! She and I each sewed half of the 6 inch foundation paper pieced blocks. We talked often especially during the final layout. Can you spot what we did just a teeny bit differently than the pattern? I quilted it and here are the glamour shots! If you want to see other quilters projects or to learn all about this quilt along you should check out Fat Quarter Shops Blog here: Best Friends QAL – Finishing – The Jolly Jabber Quilting Blog (fatquartershop.com)

If you are new to the blog, I want to invite you to listen to my podcast and you can find that on the sidebar or at the top of the page labeled podcast. I talk about quilts, all my crafts, what my sister and I are making as well as little about life in a Northern Town on the podcast My Creative Corner3. I have been quilting for over 30 years now. I have been inspired by my grandmothers who were creative, sewed and quilted. I love the last picture because that is my great grandmother’s treadle machine that she sewed on. It was in her kitchen by a window overlooking the farm. I knew 3 of my great grandmothers and they are very inspiring women. It is because of their creativity that started me on my own journey of making.

Thanks for stopping by , and it is never too late to make the Best Friends Quilt. I think Angel and I have decided to name ours Friends under One Star.
