I made 2 of Lori Holt’s design boards. I made them 14” (because the foam core board was 28” long). I use them all the time! And I think 14” is the perfect size to lay out a block up to 12”.

Thanks for the input because I have the foam core but was debating what size I should make. I was thinking I should make a couple of 10s but now I am thinking I should do a couple of 14 and 6 for embroidery projects. I have flannel and batting scraps so I was gonna test which I liked best .
