Saturday morning coffee

Yesterday I was able to take a day off work and my husband drove me to the quilt show in Grand Rapids. I had a class at one o’clock.

There was a little snag in the entire works though. I was in a boot., had a new knee scooter and wasn’t able to secure a scooter for the show before getting there.

I wish my story was a good one to tell about this Achilles tendon left side. I was walking fast in Costco because it felt good, until it popped and hurt. To orthopedic walk in Monday and got a boot and PT ordered. Doesn’t think it ruptured so prevention and rehab is the plan.

I will say the knee scooter is great and will help me at work. I found out quickly the using a knee scooter is a workout in itself. I scooted my way to the info and I secured a ride on scooter for tomorrow. Then to class.

I really enjoyed Heather Kojhan class for Doors wide open. It was a improv class and we learned several wonderful things. I also sat next to the Janome rep who gave me info on all their machines.

I then went to wonderfil to get my threads and kit. Sign up for a make and take that’s today and then test drove a Janome m6. I liked that machine very much. I am waiting to see what’s happening with the achilles because I may need the m8 with a stitch regulator.

Today I am getting ready to get my coffee and breakfast then head to the show to leisurely spend the day driving a scooter. I hope I don’t hit anyone because I have no experience driving one.
